The 90×90 mm cells are precision-moulded to grip the base of both standard 750ml wine/liquor bottles and taller 1-litre juice or oil bottles. A single crate can run on two different filling lines without changeover.

With an internal depth of 315 mm, the crate surrounds each bottle well above its centre of gravity. This deep sidewall design minimises glass-to-glass contact, label scuffing and breakage even on bumpy conveyor systems or during manual handling.

Automation-Ready Construction
Smooth interior walls, a flat base with no sharp edges and precise 400×300 mm external footprint make the crate fully compatible with automatic depalletisers, crate washers and palletisers. The 1.44 kg lightweight design reduces energy consumption on high-speed lines.

Q: Can this crate hold both 750ml and 1L bottles securely?

A: Yes. The 90×90 mm cell was calculated to accept the base diameter of typical 750ml claret and 1L tall bottles. The internal height of 315 mm ensures the taller bottle stays fully upright and the shorter bottle does not tilt, so mixed loading on a single line is possible.

Q: What is the maximum safe stacking height when full?

A: Depending on bottle weight, crates loaded with filled 750ml glass bottles can be safely stacked 6–7 crates high in a static warehouse. We recommend a stack test be carried out with your specific bottle to confirm the exact limit, which we can assist with in person or remotely.

Q: Are the crates suitable for chilled filling or pasteurisation processes?

A: Yes. The virgin PP grade we use maintains impact strength from -20°C to +80°C, making it suitable for cold-fill lines, cool storage and short-duration pasteurisation tunnel exposure. For extreme thermal cycles, a specialist heatstabilised grade is available on request.

Q: How does the crate prevent label damage during transport?

A: Each bottle sits in a separate compartment with smooth, ribfree inner walls. The deep cell isolates the body and label area from adjacent bottles, eliminating the rubbing that causes label wear and "ghosting" on clear film labels.

Q: Can I brand the crate with my logo, and what is the MOQ for customised orders?

A: Yes. You can add a company logo or text via hotstamp, silkscreen print or engraved mould inserts. For the standard 12hole crate without print, the MOQ is 300 pieces. Custom print or colour has an MOQ of 500 pieces, with a lead time of 7 days after design approval.
