Key Features

Extra-Robust Construction for Brewery Logistics

Engineered with thick-walled grids and reinforced base ribs, this crate handles the punishing demands of keg-free bottling lines, repeated forklift handling, and high-bay warehouse storage without cracking or permanent deformation.

97×97 mm Precision Cell for Bottle Integrity

Each 97×97 mm compartment fully separates standard returnable beer bottles (Euro, NRW, Steinie). The deep cell walls eliminate glass-to-glass impact and keep labels scuff-free, lowering your breakage and bottle-replacement rates.

Deep 360 mm Internal Profile for Stability

The tall sidewall surrounds the bottle body well above its centre of gravity, preventing top-heaviness and sway during conveyer transport. It is ideal for taller 0.5 L European-style bottles while still securely retaining shorter formats.

Interlocking Stack & Nest Functionality

When full, anti-slip lugs on the rim lock securely into the feet of the crate above, forming a rock-solid block stack. When empty, the 430×330 mm footprint and tapered design allow deep nesting, slashing return transport volume by over 60 %.

Container-Optimised Pallet Configuration

Packed 54 crates per pallet (9 per layer × 6 layers on a 1.29×1.00 m footprint), you achieve excellent container fill: 576 pieces in a 20GP and 1,358 pieces in a 40HQ. This maximises your bottle-per-container ratio and minimises freight cost per crate.

Company Introduction

We are a dedicated injection moulding specialist focused on returnable heavy-duty crates for the brewing, beverage, and industrial gas sectors. Operating from an ISO-certified facility with large-tonnage presses and in-house tooling, we produce millions of crates annually that circulate in over 60 countries. Our crates are made exclusively from 100 % virgin polypropylene, compounded with advanced impact modifiers and UV stabilisers so they withstand cold-chain storage, pasteurisation tunnels, and aggressive crate-washing systems without losing strength or colour. Beyond standard designs, we offer complete customisation: engraved brewery logos, anti-static additives, RFID tag inserts, and bespoke cell layouts. With deep experience in automated bottling hall integration, we work closely with your engineering team to ensure seamless compatibility with depalletisers, fillers, and palletisers, providing a total packaging solution rather than just a plastic box.

FAQ

Q: What bottle sizes are compatible with this crate?

A: The 97×97 mm cells comfortably fit most standard returnable beer bottles with a body diameter up to 95 mm and a height up to 340 mm, including 0.33 L steinies and 0.5 L Euro or NRW bottles. The internal depth is set to prevent even tall bottles from rocking during transport.

Q: How high can the crates be stacked in a warehouse?

A: Under static conditions, fully loaded crates can be stacked 6–7 layers high safely, depending on the actual bottle weight. We can provide a comprehensive load-test report and, if needed, reinforce the design further for your specific bottle and stacking height requirements.

Q: Is the material suitable for cold rooms and hot washing?

A: Absolutely. The virgin PP grade we use maintains its impact strength from -20 °C up to +80 °C, so the crate can move straight from a cold storage area into a high-temperature crate washer without risk of brittleness or warping.

Q: Can I have my brewery's name or logo moulded into the crate?

A: Yes. Logos and text can be added via engraved mould inserts, hot stamping, or silk-screen printing. We can also produce crates in custom RAL-matched colours to align with your brand identity. Customised orders typically have a minimum quantity of 1,500–2,000 pieces.

Q: How does the crate perform with automated filling-line equipment?

A: The precise 430×330 mm footprint, smooth base, and absence of protruding flash make the crate fully compatible with high-speed depalletisers, conveyors, and palletisers. We dimensionally certify every batch to ensure seamless integration, and we can pre-test samples on your specific line if required.
